On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Protection Paladin for eachboss of the following raid: Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.7.

Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible Raid Guides
On this page, you will find Protection Paladin specificinformation to deal with each boss in the Aberrus raid.These are not complete encounter guides but rather provide specific tips fordoing the bosses as a Protection Paladin.
This page assumes that you already understand most of the mechanics of eachencounter. These can be found on the full raid guide, so what is containedhere are details specifically tailored toward Protection Paladinand what you can do to deal with each fight as best as possible.

Kazzara, the Hellforged
3.1.
Talents/Build
For this, boss, I suggest you use the default build at the top of this page.
3.2.
Tips
- Taunt swap on every stack of Terror Claws.
- Terror Claws deals a combination of Physical and Magic damage.Ensure you are in your Consecration and use an additional cooldown if necessary, such as Ardent Defender. Be ready to heal up after the hit with Word of Glory.
- Divine Steed to get back to the boss after the pushback from Wings of Extinction.
- Mythic Be ready to move the boss around the room as the area nearby gets filled with Dread Rifts.

4.
The Amalgamation Chamber
4.1.
Talents/Build
For this, boss, I suggest you use the default build at the top of this page.
4.2.
Tips
- Be prepared with Word of Glory for Shadow Spike / Flame Slash.
- Depending on your strategy for this encounter, you may need to swap bosses during Phase 1.If this is the case, be ready to run with Divine Steed.
- Fire - Phase 1: You can comfortably solo soak Fiery Meteorwith Ardent Defender, Guardian of Ancient Kings or Sentinel.
- Shadow - Phase 1: The stacking health reduction from this boss will make Shadow Spike more deadly. Be prepared to use cooldowns to survive thesehits.
- Phase 2: The tank combo in this phase will require a taunt immediatelyafter Withering Vulnerability and the tank that taunted shouldmake sure that the other tank is not hit by Shadowflame Burst.
- Mythic Find a player with the opposite debuff ( Corrupting Shadowor Blazing Heat) and touch them. This will trigger a small explosion and convertyour permanent debuff into a 20-second one. In Phase 2, the boss will assign these randomly.

The Forgotten Experiments
5.1.
Talents/Build
For this, boss, I suggest you use the default build at the top of this page.
5.2.
Tips
- Taunt swap at 3-4 stacks of Infused Strikes.
- Use Blessing of Protection to remove bleeds from players in Phase 1.
- When both tanks have Infused Strikes stacks, run into eachother to clear them. Do not do this again until Infused Explosion hasfaded.
- Phase 3: Whoever is not tanking the boss should focus on keeping Temporal Anomaly orbs away from the boss by running into them.
- Mythic The next boss now enters when the previous one reaches 50%. This meansthat there will be more moments where both tanks have Infused Strikes. Be carefulnot to trigger Infused Explosion too many times.

6.
Assault of the Zaqali
6.1.
Talents/Build
For this, boss, I suggest you use the default build at the top of this page.
- Be ready to grab adds as they spawn. Avenger's Shield is great tothrow on a pack of wall climbers as they spawn.
- Tank all adds on top of the Magma Mystic.
- Taunt the boss as soon as he jumps to your platform.
- Mythic Be ready to run against the pushback from Ignara in Phase 1.

7.
Rashok, the Elder
7.1.
Talents/Build
For this, boss, I suggest you use the default build at the top of this page.
7.2.
Tips
- The tank mechanic of this fight is a combo hit. Taunt when you see the sameattack appear in the pattern. You do not want to be hit by Flaming Slashor Earthen Crush twice in the same combo.
- When Shadowlava Blast is cast (big purple cone). Use this asyour indicator to drag the boss into the middle of the room.
- Mythic Have a cooldown plan ready for every tank comboon this encounter. You should be able to use Ardent Defender and Eye of Tyrfor Combo 1+3 of each phase, and Divine Shield (with Final Stand) for Combo 2.

8.
The Vigilant Steward, Zskarn
8.1.
Talents/Build
For this, boss, I suggest you use the default build at the top of this page.
8.2.
Tips
- Taunt swap at 5-6 stacks of Searing Claws.
- When you are not tanking, try to soak Shrapnel Bomb's. Buildsome Holy Power before you run to keep Shield of the Righteous active asthey deal Physical damage.
- Be ready to Divine Steed to get back to the boss after youare pushed away with Blast Wave.
- You can stop the casts from the Golems with Avenger's Shield, Rebuke, Blinding Light and Hammer of Justice.
- Tactical Destruction is always cast on the pillars closestto the boss. When the Golems spawn, move the boss closer to the middle so themelee DPS dont have to run as much.
- Mythic The pillars now spawn where the large clump of players areand Golems become immune to CC (including stuns) at 50% HP.

9.
Magmorax
9.1.
Talents/Build

Tips
- When Incinerating Maws is cast, wait until the attack hasfinished before taunting.
- If you are the target of Incinerating Maws, use Ardent Defenderto help survive the hits.
- Keep the boss away from Magma Puddle's.
- When you are not tanking, soak Magma Puddle's to reduce theirsize.
- Be ready to Divine Steed back to the boss after Overpowering Stomp.You can also negate this knockback with Divine Shield.

10.
Echo of Neltharion
10.1.
Talents/Build

10.2.
Tips
- Phase 1: Taunt after Calamitous Strike.
- Phase 1: After Calamitous Strike the boss will cast Echoing Fissure, and this will be your indicator to move to anew area.
- Phase 2: Keep the boss near the Voice from Beyond adds to kill them.
- Phase 2: When an add has died, move to the next one.
- Phase 2: The tank mechanic in this phase is Sunder Shadow.He will knock you through a wall, and shortly after, all walls between where youwere knocked from to where you are now will be destroyed.
- Phase 3: Gain threat on the spawning adds.
- Phase 3: When Ebon Destruction is cast run into a portalto survive.
- Mythic In Phase 3, every player in the raid will have anassigned portal. Know your positions ahead of time and be ready to get in it, aseach portal only works for 1 player.
- Mythic Utilise Blessing of Protection and Divine Shieldto remove the Calamitous Strike debuff and not die from the adds.

11.
Scalecommander Sarkareth
11.1.
Talents/Build

11.2.
Tips
- Phase 1: Swap after each stack of Burning Claws. You will need to mitigate thedamage from the DoT, as the damage you take during this DoT is dealt to the raid whenit expires. Use Ardent Defender, Eye of Tyr and make sure you are inside your Consecrationas much as possible to mitigate this.
- Phase 1: Remove Oppressing Howl by standing in Searing Breath.
- Intermission: Aim to grab 10 Astral Flares before you soak all 3 poolsand enter Phase 2.
- Phase 2: Swap after each stack of Void Claws. When your debuff is aboutto expire, run away from the raid.
- Heroic Phase 2: Move the adds into Desolate Blossom to remove Rescind.
- Phase 3: When you are hit by Void Slash, get 10 stacks of Oblivion and let thedebuff expire in the other realm to completely remove the raid damage component of the debuff.
